Dear friends!
I'm happy to tell about the next projects, the first of which actually will materialize already this week! I have a pleasure to be teaching and performing with the legendary ERIC INEKE who will be coming over to Joensuu (as an Erasmus+ Teacher Exchange from the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag).

Those of you who are familiar with Eric's background, know that HE'S BEEN AROUND! Having regularly performed with Dexter Gordon, Johnny Griffin, Hank Mobley he is one of the few in Europe (and probably in the whole world still working) who has been inside the elite of this music. Eric will be doing lectures on Philly Joe Jones ( on Thursday Sept 29 at 14:30 in Joensuu Conservatory Small Auditorium) and another lecture on Elvin Jones (Friday Sept 30th at 14:15 at Karelia UAS Tikkarinne Campus, Small Auditorium), and there will be master classes, lessons and all kinds of activities.
We will perform in Joensuu on Thursday night Sept 29th at Surakan Baari (Rantakatu 11-13, Joensuu)

Another great event I'm happy about is a visit in Switzerland in the end of October. I will be performing with my friend, great pianist Mike del Ferro in Basel, and we will be joined by another fantastic drummer Jukkis Uotila, who's been widely recognized as one the best drummers in this business. On bass we have the swinging and always trustworthy Stephan Kurmann, and we will be playing 4 long concerts in 2 days!! (say goodbye to my lips..:):) )
